They say life imitates art. The Rockstar phenomenon imitated the movie Rockstar where he goes from a wanna be to a superstar....looks like it kept going for a repeat ending. Please don't take what I say the wrong way, it is quite sad but not unexpected, not to me anyway.
Be careful what you ask for and what you put in writing because you are the creator of your own life experience....words are very powerful. So are thoughts.

I can't say I'm really surprised. I thought they might not be staying together for more than the Rockstar contract required. Of course, it would have been ideal for INXS and their fans if they'd been better suited for a longer stretch of co-operation as a unit. But apparently this is not really news, since I'm not finding anything else about it on the Internet... I'm expecting to see some sort of statement by INXS concerning this soon. Wonder if they have any plans of continuing as a band, with or without a new singer. Hopefully they all do well with whatever they take up and JD's personal fans will stick by him for his solo effort.

I can't say that it's a surprise, if you read this one: undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=7641"The departure from INXS may have had something to do with his excess drug use. During his time with the band, he was a cocaine user. “It got as bad as it needed to be for me to numb out the fact that I knew this was going to come to a screeching halt,” he said."

Whhhhatttt?
I never loved or disliked him as a singer.... if anything I felt bad for the dude. Well, the whole bit with him living out of his car is ridiculous to me. He seems like a pretty intelligent person who has two arms and two legs. So why can't he find a job? He is no different from anyone else, if anything he has more because of his exposure to the industry and people he has met. Of course everyone has dreams... and he can still produce records and work at the same time. That's what I do..... I am an artist/illustrator and I have to keep another job to pay the bills and live. Don't be whining about your life in the public eye or you'll really never get anywhere!
Also, he really has quite a hair do eh?

Today I have been apart of the posts on INXS.com,as you know Im a member as are a few others here. I am confused myself, but I am still in belief that JD is very much still a part of INXS. Until I read otherwise from the band or management, I wont change my view.
Lets hope something is said very soon

Well, if he was still part of INXS, I'd doubt they'd keep him now after this interview. Doesn't make INXS seem very likeable. They'd be foolish to keep him onboard after going public (or making it up) with this info.

I've just been watching these interviews before i came here. Well is it true or isn't it? If it isn't why on earth would JD make this up and do this interview? INXS should have said something straight away for the sake of their fans but then they often do keep quiet and say nothing. Have a read at the comments posted on Youtube after the first interview... most of them seem to supporting JD in his future music venture. tinyurl.com/ca5nagOne thing i've noticed is that a few people here say they're not surprised (not Cathy who said 'This is a surprise' lol). Why is that? Because of INXS' track record or because of JD himself for some reason? Whatever's happened, yes i hope it's all clarified and maybe explained a little more in the near future. Never been a fan of JD but i can't help feeling sorry for him for a few reasons. Sad. Deb.

Well, this all could very well be a holks/publicity stunt.... you have to admit, it has really got all of us curious and he's made the Canadian gossip news. Maybe there will be a new album out.
I think it's not a surprise to me because of his personality. Not that I have ever met him or anything.... but just the way he portrays himself on tv. He probably felt an enormous pressure.... I can't image being in his shoes! I do feel bad for him and I do believe he is talented. But, I never liked the idea of a new person fronting INXS even though at the same time.... I want INXS still to produce. Ugggh!
