I don't like the comment he makes at the end about imagining himself with a something around his neck but what the hell were they thinking? Do they really think someone as edgy and alternative as Mike Patton would be interested in singing for a POP band? He was right, they were desperate.

Thanks minxs, maybe they think third time lucky! That was a cruel "joke" at the end. I'm glad somebody stepped in and stopped this, maybe if they listen, they'll start going down the right track smoothly.

I just don't understand. I'm sorry, but what exactly about Mike Patton did they think would be 'right for their band'? He is very talented but he is in a completly different universe of music and he doesn't tolerate any shit.

Thanks Minx. As bad as I feel for the guys and understand this is their career and their need to contiinue on with the band, to me Michael was INXS. I have a hard time picturing someone else singing his songs. There are some interesting comments to this article, a few by Nick Egan.
