Hey, Ricky! Just wondering if you are still based in London? And if so, how are you enjoying the snow? The pictures on the news were amazing!

Hi Cathy!! It's sooo wonderful that the board is back up!
I saw the pics too, and couldn't help but daydream about being holed up in some london flat, drinking tea and watching the snow fall....sigh.
As for Austin....we've had one day where it iced over for a few hours overnight. Today is going to be another 70+ degree day. Every year, I hope for at least one day where it's bad enough where I won't have to go into work. So far, it's not happening.

Uh, if you'd like to swap places with me at the moment, just let me know. We've been having a heat wave like we've never had, well not in my life time anyway!!

Yeah, come to think of it, I think I prefer the heat. You just made me remember winter here and it never gets that cold.

I have a feeling Phoenix will get the same summer this year as you Helen. It's just the beginning of February & it's felt like it's spring for at least 2 weeks. I think our "winter" lasted all of a month...if even that. I absolutely love our "winter"...so not ready for another summer just yet.

Oh you poor things with all that HEAT lol! We have had a few days of snow here in the UK on and off. I'm further north than Ricky but i think most of the UK has had snow lately. Last week my daughter's school was shut for 2 days because of the weather and my course which i'm attending 2 days a week was cancelled one day aswell. It was cosy though snuggling up on the couch with a cup of tea in a warm room while it snowed outside. Actually i couldn't bear a heatwave,i'm not too good in the heat. At least when you're cold you can warm up but if you're too hot it's harder to cool down.It would be nice to have a little less cold here though! All the kids here loved it.My daughter who's just turned 6 now was thrilled and wanted to be out in her wellies all the time. The snow's pretty much melted now but i just noticed it seems to be trying to snow again and more is forecast this coming week. Deb

My mother said today that the world is upside down! She comes from the UK. And yeah, here is me whinging about the heat, Saturday morning I saw the red dusty sky and felt the extreme wind and was reminded of Ash Wednesday in 1983. I knew there would probably be fires and there are, not here though. All our fire fighters have gone to help Victoria and they need to be back by the weekend as we are under threat on the weekend so they say. I feel so sorry for the people who have gone through the devastation and lost their homes or lives or both. If any of you here come from there, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
H xx
