This may not be a popular opinion, but if they are going to release more of the stuff Michael did right before his death, I am not sure I can stand to hear it. I can't listen to his solo album....to me, it is his suicide letter. He really opened his soul, and it wasn't a happy or good place at that time. I'm not sure I want more of that. It could just reopen wounds long healed, especially for the family, Tiger included. And, if the trust is doing it, we know the family will have no input or recieve any benefit from it.

I feel similarly about the solo album although I think it's great. As much as I find it painful to listen to, I'd like it to be re-released so that people may actually get the opportunity to hear it. Maybe it might even get some radio airplay. Michael deserved to have his music heard.
I actually have a more difficult time with Elegantly Wasted for some reason. It seems like such an angry album and that doesn't seem like Michael to me. (obviously not all the songs on EW are "angry" but the whole album as a whole seems bitter)
Either way, if it means Michael's music could be introduced to a new audience, I would be happy about it. I know he really wanted to be acknowledged outside of his success with INXS.

I found it hard to listen to Michael's solo album. I received it a few years ago right before I went interstate on holiday and I took it with me. Saw the beautiful northern beaches where Michael would have visited often. During that trip I had that cd in my ears most of the time because I love his voice, there is something soothing about it. Now every time I hear it, it takes me back to that time away and all the places I visited. Whenever I'm having an anxiety moment his voice in my ears always puts me at ease, might sound weird to you, but its soothing.

I saw on Switchboard Matt is telling people the launch of Michael Hutchence website they're putting up will be pushed back a few weeks to avoid it being buried underneath the current drama surrounding INXS.
I agree parts of Michael's solo album are hard to listen. It's like it has all these hints about what happened. But with all the darkness it's a great record and should be re-released. Ditto for Max Q, it's still as current as ever.

Max Q, with the proper promotion it lacked during it's original release, would kick ass. It's still a brilliant record and relevent in 2009.

It is a shame that Michael, as a solo artist, or with Max Q, didn't get the reconition he deserved. I also wish that he was given more credit for he genius of his lyrics.

(Im Quoting Matt On SB The Latest) My posts have always often had hidden meanings in them...or hinting at things...because obviously I'm not allowed to announce things until the band want them made public... But I now work for the MH Trust, and I will be also running the MH site which will keep me busy. That is where my interest is these days. MH set up the Trust to protect all his millions of dollars for Tigerlily. The money that is earned from new MH releases goes into the Trust with the rest of MH's millions. MH set up the trust before he died so his money was safe. We control everything to do with MH. His name, his image, his music. So its our job to make sure MH is remembered how he should be. At present I believe he isnt. So we plan to change that.
(I always thought there was a hidden bank account for Tiger )

I'm so confused about the money issues, and I don't know Matt, I only read what he writes on switchboard.
But I did learn some news that I think you have picked up on!

If his finances are all in order as Matt claims, how come some of the family members he bequested (is that the right word?!) money to never recieved it? Or maybe they did and they're lying? Did the charities he specified get their slice of his fortune? I think that the new website is gonna stir up some controversy and that's something that Michaels legacy certainly doesn't need more of.

Michael's money situation has not been private since he passed away. Tina and Patricia spent a lot of time talking about it in JAM, and Rhett spoke about it in Total XS. There was a documentary made about Michael's money. It is anything but private by this point.

Yeah, that's true hutchbabe. We all have really no idea what Michael set up or how it was carried out.
Although Rhett fought it in the past, he supposedly feels that the trust will protect and provide for Tiger. I don't know what that's based on but he did sign on for as an adviser for Slide Away, which Michael's trust is involved with.
As long as Tiger is protected, I'd have to agree that the rest of it really isn't any of our business. I just want Michael remembered in a positive manner, without all of the drama.
